Throughout the day, you will have the chance to engage in a variety of authentic Victorian pastimes. Unleash your creativity while crafting Victorian arts and crafts, experience the charm of baking in the original kitchen, revel in the delightful entertainment of the era, and savor a scrumptious afternoon tea.

Do you ever wonder how Victorians communicated with spirits? This Victorian-inspired Public Paranormal Investigation event runs in partnership with Spirit Hunters Ontario, and allows guests to form a deeper connection with the 19th Century heritage site and its spirits.
This event is exclusively offered during Spring 2025, and spaces are limited. Ages 15+ only. By purchasing a ticket, guests agree to be on camera while on site. Please note no technology will be permitted during this event, including cellphones.
Falconry was the gentlemanly sport of hunting small game anim als with the use of a trained bird of prey. This sport was taken up by affluent gentlemen in the victorian period and is still common in some areas of the world today. Join us as we learn from the trainers at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy about these amazing creatures then join our historians for a look at how the british and even wealthy canadians practiced falconry in the victorian period.

Hunting for eggs at Easter has been an important part of the celebration of rebirth dating back to Martin Luther in the 16th centurty. Later once the Easter Bunny was incorporated brightly coloured eggs were hidden for the good boys and girls to find.
Spend the morning of April 20th at Cottonwood Mansion Museum with your family searching for eggs and enjoying some refreshments from The Windmill Country Market of Mount Pleasant.
The egg hunt will begin at 11am and continue until all eggs are found. For those who need a break the Dining room will be set up with refreshments and unlimited tea to keep the hunt going.
