Special Grant Announcement
Cottonwood Mansion Museum is the grateful recipient of a 2024 Ontario Trillium Fund Capital Grant, in the amount of $96,600 to restore and increase accessibility to our front porch. The project is set to begin in March 2024. Stay tuned for project updates!

Cottonwood Mansion Museum is a 19th century mansion rich in heritage and culture. As a charitable organization, Cottonwood relies heavily on the support of volunteers and its local communities to keep its doors open. Volunteer support is needed now more than ever in order for us to maintain stability and to remain a Haldimand treasure for years to come.

Upcoming events at Cottonwood
Something spooky is happening at Cottonwood Mansion this October: Ghost Walks at Cottonwood Mansion are back for another year!
In partnership with Spirit Hunters Ontario, Cottonwood will be hosting Guided Mansion Ghost Walks during the month of October! This one-hour event will include a tour of the mansion and information on the family members that lived at Cottonwood, and a guided ghost walk complete with ghost hunting equipment and expert guides from Spirit Hunters Ontario.
*By purchasing tickets to this event, guests give permission to be filmed/captured on camera during the Ghost Walks event. Any images/video captured may be used for marketing purposes.
Embark on a journey through time and immerse yourself in the enchanting world of a country mansion from over 150 years ago. Throughout the day, you will have the chance to engage in a variety of authentic Victorian pastimes. Unleash your creativity while crafting Victorian arts and crafts, experience the charm of baking in the original kitchen, revel in the delightful entertainment of the era, and savor a scrumptious afternoon tea.

A favourite among our visitors, our Christmas Afternoon Teas are back for 2024! Enjoy a delightfully festive Afternoon Tea of sandwiches, freshly baked scones, delicious holiday desserts, and your choice of teas of course! This event concludes with a tour of the mansion all dressed up for the holidays, and time in our Gift Shop.
Please note that the second floor of the mansion is only accessible via stairs.
