Looking for a unique and interesting way to celebrate Dad this year? Well, Cottonwood is bringing back its popular Father’s Day Falconry Show as a way for families, friends, and whoever else to celebrate an important father figure in their life.
Alongside the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, this event includes a 45 minute raptor show where you will get the chance to learn all about the birds of prey and catch them in flight, followed by a historic tour (with a focus on falconry in the Victorian era of course) of Cottonwood Mansion. Meal add-ons include a house special sandwich as well as a drink of choice. Book your spot today!

In partnership with other museums and heritage sites across Haldimand County, we are officially opening our doors to visitors on August 1st, 2026 for the community wide “Doors Open” event. Admission is completely free, and we couldn’t be more honoured to be a part of this day with 8 other incredible sites.
Step into the 1860s at Cottonwood for guided tours that will be running daily, as well as a chance for families to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the mansion. View the Italianate and Georgian architecture, while getting the chance to use stereoscopes — a popular Victorian pastime that was a window into life in other parts of the world.
